Kurated Designs provides custom, high-touch interior design services tailored to each client. Due to the personalized and digital nature of our work, we maintain a clear and firm policy regarding cancellations and refunds.
2. Payment Terms
All design services are billed in full upfront to reserve your project on our design calendar and initiate creative development. This service fee covers time, expertise, and intellectual property unique to your project.
3. Cancellation & Refund Eligibility

Before Design Work Begins: If you choose to cancel your project prior to any design work commencing, you may be eligible for a partial refund. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to a cancellation fee.

After Design Work Begins: Once we have started any aspect of your project—including but not limited to onboarding, concept development, moodboards, sourcing, space planning, or communication regarding design—no refunds will be issued.
4. Digital Deliverables & Ownership
All digital assets (renderings, sourcing sheets, moodboards, floor plans, etc.) remain the intellectual property of Kurated Designs until your balance is paid in full. Once delivered, these assets are non-refundable.
5. How to Submit a Cancellation Request
To submit a request before design work has begun, please email support@kuratedforyou.com with your project name and reason for cancellation. Requests will be reviewed within 3 business days.
6. Exceptions
Refunds will not be granted due to:

Changes in project scope or timeline after work has begun

Shipping & Fulfillment
1. Overview
At Kurated Designs, we source bespoke furnishings, materials, and décor from a curated network of trade-only vendors on behalf of our clients. Each item is procured with your specific design plan in mind, often made to order or imported directly from premium manufacturers.
2. Fulfillment & Logistics Process

Once selections are finalized and approved, we initiate orders directly with our trade partners.

Items are shipped from the vendor's warehouse or manufacturing facility to your receiving address or to a third-party receiver (when applicable).

Lead times vary by vendor, product type, and availability. These estimates will be communicated to you at the time of order.

Tracking information and shipping updates are shared as they are provided by the vendor.
3. Our Role
Kurated Designs acts as a purchasing agent and design advisor. We manage sourcing, coordinate vendor communication, and support your procurement process—however:
We are not the manufacturer, shipper, or carrier of any physical goods.
We do not warehouse inventory and do not maintain control over logistics after items leave the vendor facility.
4. Shipping Liability & Damages
Kurated Designs is not liable for:

Lost, delayed, or damaged items during shipping

Manufacturing defects

Freight or white-glove delivery performance

Missed lead times due to backorders, strikes, or force majeure
If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will assist you in filing a claim or resolution request with the vendor. The outcome of such claims is at the discretion of the manufacturer or shipping provider.
5. Receiving & Inspection Requirements
To protect your investment, we strongly recommend:

Having items shipped to a qualified receiving warehouse or white-glove delivery service

Inspecting all items upon delivery and documenting any visible damage or packaging issues immediately

Notifying us and the vendor within 48 hours of receiving any damaged or incorrect items to ensure eligibility for vendor support
6. Returns & Exchanges
Most of the items we specify are custom, made-to-order, or final sale. Returns are subject to each vendor's specific return policy and are not guaranteed. Restocking fees and return shipping costs may apply.

Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between the client (“Client”) and Kurated Designs LLC (“Kurated,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a digital-first luxury interior design studio. By engaging our services, the Client agrees to be bound by the following Terms:
1. Scope of Services
Kurated Designs provides bespoke digital interior design services, which may include but are not limited to:

Conceptual designs, space planning, and digital renderings

Product and furniture sourcing (retail and trade-only)

Procurement assistance and budget tracking

Concierge-style project guidance via digital tools and communication platforms
The specific scope, deliverables, and timeline will be outlined in the individual service agreement or proposal for each project.
2. Client Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth process, the Client agrees to:

Provide accurate measurements, inspiration, and feedback in a timely manner

Make payments according to the agreed payment schedule

Communicate any delays, budget changes, or project shifts promptly
3. Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot on our design calendar.

Remaining balances are due according to the milestone payment schedule defined in your invoice or proposal.

Late payments beyond 5 business days may result in a project pause or cancellation and incur a late fee of 5% per month.
4. Ownership of Work
All design deliverables—including mood boards, space plans, renderings, and product sourcing spreadsheets—remain the sole intellectual property of Kurated Designs until full payment is received.
No portion of the work may be used, implemented, reproduced, or shared—publicly or privately—until the final invoice has been paid in full.
Upon receipt of final payment, a limited license is granted to the Client for personal or business use of the final designs as outlined in the scope.
5. Trade and Product Sourcing

Kurated Designs may procure or recommend trade-only items unavailable to the general public. These items are provided to clients at or near standard retail value unless otherwise stated.

Kurated retains the right to pass along partial trade savings and earns revenue through procurement facilitation, which is factored into pricing.
6. Revisions & Deliverables

Each service tier includes a specified number of design revisions. Additional revisions may incur an hourly fee.

Kurated Designs is not liable for third-party delivery delays, discontinued items, or vendor backorders but will provide alternatives when available.
7. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality

Kurated retains the right to showcase completed design work (excluding any private personal identifiers) in our portfolio, website, social media, or marketing materials.

Proprietary tools, processes, and templates (e.g., sourcing spreadsheets, client portals, and render guides) remain the exclusive property of Kurated Designs and may not be duplicated or distributed without written permission.
8. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be submitted in writing. If canceled after services have commenced, all completed work will be billed at a pro-rata rate.

No refunds will be issued for completed design work or third-party purchases initiated by client request.
9. Limitation of Liability
Kurated Designs is not responsible for construction delays, contractor errors, or incorrect implementation of design plans by third parties. Design recommendations are advisory in nature.
10. Governing Law
